Can it be iodized or does it have to be non-iodized? I am using NOX-ICH and my one neon blue gourami has turned purple????? HELP ME!!!!

I have tried to fight ICH for a week now and I'm losing my fish one by one. I only have 4 fish left out of 10. I'm getting so discouraged. I've tried salt. I've tried NOX-ICH. My friend that is very experienced in fish said garlic??? My boyfriend told me to flush my last 4 fish and emply my tank and start new. I'm really new to this big of a tank (29 gallons). I don't want to flush my fish but they're barely alive. I need help and I feel like I just want to scrap it all. I loved my tank two weeks ago. I could watch it for hours. Do I really need to start fresh? What can I do to prevent this from happening again?PLEASE HELP!!!!

sheri...how new is the tank?...do you know if its cycled? If your tank is still cycling, the ich is really a 2nd worry...the tank needs to cycle, and the cycle itself is prob what's causing the ick.

I have had the tank for a month. After you set up a tank, how soon should you introduce fish? I waited two weeks.I'm new to fish tanks so I'm kind of in the dark about the cycles. My gouramis did fine until I put the bala sharks in and then one bala shark died immediately(within like 8 hours). I thought he might have brought the ICH with him.
