I don't think that the bacteria that you would expect to form in the bucket would be the same kind of good bacteria that is found in a cycled tank. I could be wrong tho. Never the less, wouldn't it be less yucky to just cycle with some zebras?

actually pee would work to cycle a tank...it is ammonia afterall but you would still need to build up your bacteria in the same way...they need a place to colonize that has current to carry oxygen and nutrients to them, in other words a filter

wouldnt be any faster than fishless cycling probably about the same

pure ammonia is cheap enough that you dont have use your own, unless for some sick reason you want to ;)
