SW is way more expensive that FW, you cant "bargain shop" on Live rock etc...unfortunately....yea sam when I was working at a LFS I cant even remember how many of my pay checks just turned into new corals and inverts, and cool gadgets thingies...so I think I am probably closer to 5K now that I think about it....some very expensive corals.

hehe I was getting like 50-60% off some stuff, basically just paying shipping...I got an Acanthastrea lordhowensis that was like 8" across in the height of the "craze" for like 250$ and then fragged it up and sold all the pieces for like 1000$ total. It was sweet, I miss those days...it was so much fun to have new stuff every week.

I am super cheap. I am setting up a new 200 and it will come in under 2000 USD in the worlds most expensive country. It pays to shop smart, be realistinc about what you need.

You boys are bleeding money....

Well my 125g cost $1200 the Fluval FX5 filter cost $300, I've had a 65g that cost $350, a 55g that cost $400 with fish, 2 30g, a 25g and a 10g, also bought a emperor(I think)or a penguin filter that cost almost $200 plus assorted plants and rocks and heaters and air pumps and some small Betta tanks so I can say THOUSANDS....

I was darn close to only $250 in all with my SW, but I think I have a fish and a heater putting me at like $280. Ah, the benefits of a pre-established tank and no coral expenses...
