Looking for a compatible center piece fish

Kuhlis do fine with any "rounded" type gravel as well (I actually did an experiment in college intending to show that they preferred sand over small or large gravel, and ended up showing the opposite - they preferred the large (smooth) gravel over the sand or smaller gravel).

the more hiding places for loaches the better too. I've noticed if i've got ALOT of hiding spots they are out more. it's like they are more ready to be out when they know cover is close by.

I have densely packed plastic plants towards the back and 2 fake logs and some rocks with holes for them to hide in.
