They SAID FREE +maybe $20. shipping...Id say it would be smart for you to jump all over that deal with the fish you have crammed into your 10 gal tank.

ya I would too take advantage on this deal. If you do take advantage and you need help dividing your fish up in the two I would do this:
25g Clown Loaches 1 pleco 13 mollies
10g 4 mollies 1 pleco and the gouramis
Oh and wouldn't it make sense not to have that many fish in your 10g? Seriously, you have 24 fish in a 10g. Also dont plan on keeping the plecos and clown loaches if you do take advantage of the deal.

Buddy, buy a used tank. You wouldnt believe the values you can get. I run a store and always get used tanks in for trade. I have sold some tanks for killer bargains, only because they took up space. Geez, take a leaky tank and fix it. I fix leaky tanks (non cracked panels) for a few cents on the dollar compared to what a new setup would cost. I have been in the hobby for years and know that a used tank is smart.
Glasscages make good tanks for the most part. I had a large one from them that had a seal problem, but I could fix it once I took down the tank.

Seriously though, talk to stores (even PetsMart) and see if they ever have used tanks. I have bought tanks from retail stores like PetsMart before during inventory or replacement times. Keep looking on CraigsList as it is FULL of stuff, even if it is a little drive.

If you really get stuck, let me know and I can see what I can do for you. I gave away tanks last month for space, and clean out my storage about once a month. I get tons of used tanks and equipment in and some doesnt sell and I dont really want to keep all the stuff around for a long time.

One thing is for certain though, you need to break up that tank.

I was at a yard sale once, and bought a 50g tank from the 1960s!! It even had a slat bottom!! It held water fine, and I kept it for a few years until I moved out of my parents house. It was so cool having that tank, dam I wish I kept it:mad: *ALL*

Edit: i only paid $5.00 for it!!!

There really is nothing wrong with used. In January I bought a used 125 and stand for $100. Yes it is out of your price range but there is nothing wrong with it. My 29g was from a tag sale. $30 for the tank, stand, hood, filter and what not. Look around Coolfish..weather is warmer and the tag sales are going to be popping up all over. You can usually get a good deal at them too because if it is out there it means they don't want it in the house any more. If it says $30 see if they will take $25 or even $20. Who knows they just might.
