i heard some people frag inside tanks.
You can do that if you plan to slice just a tiny piece at the base ( what i mostly do ) but if you plan to chop big pieces, your mush may irritate other close corals, specialy hairy ones. The tupperware method is better for those bigger jobs.

I find it longer to chop mushrooms "pizza style" , slicing through the middle. The recovery is longer..slicing the base is safer, the original mush heals fast and doesn't change his look at the end + you have a brand new baby in matter of days ( if your params are good ) and i never lost one mush this way.

I'll have to try that next i guess. The pizza method is working well for me though, at least for a first time.

I acctually went to Target and got a "frag kit". A small $1 cutting board, some razors, some small shallow rubbermaid bin things and a few small tupperware cups. Also picked up a few clear suction cup soap dishes, come in handy for sticking them on the tank glass inside to hold frags.
