Yeah, it took me a while to find a background that suited me. (See above comment) I just don't care for the "busy" backgrounds. The light I have is a Current SunPaq 65 watt power compact fluorescent light that has two separate spectrum tubes. One is a daylight and the other is a blue actinic that does give a blueish hue. I wasn't sure I liked it at first, but after I put the blue tube in the back and the daylight in the front, I was sold. It REALLY brings out the color of the fish, especially the Opaline. He honestly glows so much that when he swims down to the bottom of the tank, you can see the blue reflected on the gravel.
BTW, get yourself a background on that tank and watch it transform before your eyes!!!!
