hehehe I have been checking in on this thread from time to time (one of the best looking bettas I have seen in a long time BTW) and I had a sneaking suspicion that 'she' was a he. Plakats..... sneaky little crossdressers! LOL

Lol I don't feel bad at all. I posted pics of this guy on just about every forum I'm a member at, including a betta specific forum - and even over there, they told me it was a female. So it wasn't really me at all who was mistaken, I was just going on what others told me

Yep, I'm gonna keep an eye out for a pretty little female though, not just some drab looking thing for the sake of doing so. I'm assuming Isis is young, as he's got that little white spot that can be confused for an oviposter (apparently young males sometimes have them, but they disappear over time), so I've got some time I think

wow, I don't think I have ever seen a male do the stress stripes..of course, most of the ones I have kept had lighter bodies...
