Actually, this is a bit of a test on my part. I've read exactly what TSS is and am checking it out. TSS, unlike most bacteria in a bottles, uses a chemical suspension of the water-based (the only one that admits starting this way) bacteria. The only one with a similar bacteria suspension chemical (that I know of) is Seachem Stability, but they don't admit what kind of bacteria they use. I'm finding out how much of it is true and how much is crap.

let me know!!!!

really any amonia spike would be proof that it's not doing it's job. I'd be interested to know.

Personally i think that all of that stuff is just fish company propaganda. so I'd be interested to hear what a seasoned vet (not a fish killing newbie) has to say about it.

(I also don't believe in dechloring water so.... call me crazy but i think that it's more propaganda from the chem companies trying to sell me crap)

People on this board for instance have told me all about how my fish will die a slow horrible death. In the end they are all alive, no one has soars, etc etc. I haven't had ich in a tank in over 2 years, no fungus, no unexplained death.
(I do dechlor a new set up as the initial bacteria are less tolerant to chlorine in my mind, who knows if it's really true) but 5 tanks each get a 20% change every other week with city water straight from the tap.... (fancy plecos otos and all make it every time)

have a good one and good luck!
