uuuuuh, i think that tank needs a pretty small wattage bulb. I really wouldn't mess with it. I know mine got really hot with the lightbulb that came with it...I now don't even have the hood on the tank anymore. You really only need to worry about light wattage when you have a planted tank, and I wouldn't reccomend planting anything in that tank with a UGF.

25 watt heater, 6". They don't make any smaller reliable ones.
The light is not a good way to heat your tank; it won't keep it steady, it will raise the temp as much as 5/6 degrees and you can't leave it on all the time if you don't want algae. I agree, either don't use the light or get in a screw in flourscent bulb ($5 at walmart).
