Well the fish themselves were a steal at $30.00 for both, but of course the shipping drove the total cost to $90.00 for both. Which is about the normal cost of $40-50 per fish if you were lucky enough to have an LFS that had the cute lil guys in stock.

The color is really starting to come back as they settle down, I'll post some pics tonight.

These are full grown at about 4"

Not really that expensive when you remember his brother (L46) the Zebra pleco is going for well over $100 bucks per fish.

But I have never seen the Choc Zebra Pleco in any store and very rarely see them available online, so I grabbed them up.

It's not really showing well in the pics yet, plus the color hasn't really come in yet, but they have that same shovelnose forehead and stripes there.

The rest of the body markings are more like the zebras that have the wavy pattern as opposed to the straight stripes. But we got them because they were cute and somewhat hard to find, not just for the name. They are directly related to the reg. zebras and come from the same river in Brazil.
