The sugar in the soda may have caused the cloudiness. Do a large water change and run some carbon, if you can.

You'll have to wait and see if it has caused problems with the rock. If you do see an ammonia spike, then you're probably OK.

Did you get the rock from a LFS, and was it sold as cured rock?

I ordered the rock online....my lfs had like three tiny peices in their 55 gallon, so I thought I'd better leave it! I will do a huge water change....

water is clear again this morning....I'll do the water change anyway and run an hob with a carbon filter....how long should I run that?

Ok, so, I did the water change....about 99%....I hope everything wil be ok now. I'll check ph, nitrate. etc..a little later when the water has had time to circulate....thanks for all the advice guys.....By the way, how do you get your pics so big? Mine always say that I've exceeded the maximum size so I reduce them and they're tiny.......*twirlysmi

I'm pretty sure that the sg level is correct but I haven't kept a saltwater tank before. If I remember correctly it should be around 1.023 or so but I think your pretty close to that and it should be ok.

ok, so I have two Maxi-jet ( one's 550, one's 660) powerheads and it seems like no matter where I position them, I'm getting sand movement--big time...like this morning when I got up, there was a bare spot on the bottom of the tank and the sand was pushed up all around the sides of some of the lr. Could this be too much flow for a 10 gallon? In a way, I hope that's the problem because I'm apparently hopeless at positioning!
