So yeah, I wouldn't use salt in the same tank as a snail. It's like a slug with a shell.

I have snails in my guppy breeder tank and sense I have put the 4 in their they have actually grown rapidly. Though this may be an odd occurance mine have not had a problem, but ya learn something new every day

If you are going with salt, add a nerite snail of some type, they can tolerate salt.
