Yesterday a friend of mine passed away due to cancer at the age of 17. I grew up with him and it just isnt right. He had leukemia and fought cancer once allready then had it again. I really dont know what to say to this... Im at a loss for words...

Rest in peace Matt...

My mother and a couple of other family members, friends and aquaintances have had cancer. It's not a nice disease by any means.
I only hope your friend enjoyed the time he had while he was here.

I'm so sorry that you lost your friend. A death is something that you never really "accept" but something you learn to adjust to. Somebody told me, when my mother died (4-5 months ago) that it was going to get harder before it gets better. At that time, I didn't understand what they meant, but as time went on, I got the idea. You will have good days, and bad days, just remember that your friend probably doesn't want you to dwell on the tough times, but the good memories you two made together.

I lost my Mother to cancer last year and It took me along time to get over it. I am still getting over it. All I can say is that you should not mourn so long on death because it takes away from the time you spend thinking about the life. Celebrate the good things that the two of you shared. Death cannot take those precious things away and know that you will meet again! My thoughts to you Mushroom

So very sorry to hear about this shroom. Our thoughts and prayers go out.

You and his friends and family can and will make it through. I belive that I may have told this before but last year a friend found out his wife had breast cancer I belive. She beat it. Then his son of 21 O.D.'d later last year. This this year he found out he had bone marrow cancer, but shortly before that they found that his wife now had brain cancer, and her brain was rittled with small tumors. To numerous and deep to remove. She passed away last week.

He's doing better with his cancer though. He has to be one of the stongest people that I've ever known. If anything I hope that this will give you the strength to know that you can make it though these bad times.
