and at homedepot i found jb-weld (still wasnt sure if it was safe)

there was aso pvc cement (still wasnt sure if it was safe)

does anyone know a different glue that is safe???or know for sure that any of the 3 i mention is?

I think you use weld-on 16 at least that is what I read somewhere. Also the pvc glue should be marked for Potable water lines....that is fish safe

You can put it in the oven. Acrylic is plyable at 350 so bake it then mold it. You could have something that looks like the output you want and just use that as a template. I used a coping saw before but the acrylic wants to melt to easily to the blade.

i pretty much got everything cut out (but the sides)
i would try to heat it up and then try to cut it but it might mess up the acrylic after a while.. parts of it already got bubbly...

i heated it up by using my stove (it wasnt recommend but it worked for me)

u think if i heated it up a little on a metal sheet, i can cut it out like cookie dough??? :p

i'll try to find a really thin coping saw so i can turn on the corners.

but how about the glue? weld-on is hard to get...alternatives???

You cannot heat it up too quickly or you will get those bubbles. I tried PVC glue but it doesn't hold like weld-on does. Pretty hard to beat stuff if you ask me. Just saw slowly with the coping saw or try to find away to keep the blade cool.

curious how this is guna work out im planning on getting started with the sump this weekend

your going to make a weir too?

im just making it cuz i cant drill my tank since its already set up...

the bend looks really crappy...i just did it over a stove (natural gas powered)
and used a 1"X3" piece of wood for the angle.

if it doesnt work out then i'll make another one.
