ill just get like 20gal rubbermaid thing from walmart... that way ill have 100g total

ill still use an over flow, just not one with syphens tho right? or should i just get some sort of small box to use or should i just buy a hang on that only goes on the inside of the tank? the one that i am looking at has 2 syphens and it runs from the inside to the outside... anyone have any suggestions on just overflow boxes without both sides?

What for? The above tank sump or the main tank.

I had a refugium above/beside the main by simply drilling a hole in the side of an acrylic tank, and running the pipe back into the display. Pump up, overflow out.

over flow inside of the main tank. dont you need one of these to gather the surface protein or somthing like that?

overflow box in the main tank if you have an sump above you main tank ?
For what ? Protein skimmers don't need that.

this is what i did with my tank. i did drill my own tank. the drill bit that you see is the one that i bought from an online store. i lost that address but this site has ones also.
