Ph from 8.2 to 7.0????

Not sure.........that'd just be a 100% W/C right? as long as everything stay's moist it would keep the bacteria.

Just do a couple of water changes over the next few days. It's not hurting anything - whereas a total w/c might stress the fish out.
It isn't anything permanent and will go away with water changes. Also, if you dump all the water...and that tank water was buffered to 7.0...and you put 100% tap water back in, wouldn't that make the new pH in the tank 8.2 all of the sudden? You don't want that. Gradual water changes are the way to go.

No i asked him earlier what his tap water pH comes out as, it's 7.6, this change is too much though anyway, you should only change their pH 0.2 every 24 hours (e.g 7 to 7.2)

Just do several 33% water changes like Leopard suggested, see how you get on.
