Resin Media for Canister Filter

Has anyone used the resin media in their canister filters? Any luck? I have been reading (new to the canister filter world) and it would seem that it makes more sense to get a rechargable product than one that simply gets tossed. Another thing, what are your favorite media products? Is there such a thing as too much? Thanks

I have been reading up on these as well, the thing that bothers me is I have heard absolutely nothing about this media on any of the other boards I lurk on. This leads me to believe this type of media is not widely accepted and may be either a niche product or an experimental one.

I would bite the bullet and test them if I had 2 canisters and the tank space, but I only have 1 canister and it is not even set up right now.

I agree with you, I don't have anywhere to "test" either. Some of them are regenerated by using bleach and that scared me a little bit too. Keep me posted if you hear anything about them! Thanks!
