Palaemonetes paludosus is the scientific name for these fella's.

Red- I loved that thread! I figured a few more would like it as well. ;)

Actualy assuming the ID is correct (and it seems to be) the big ones are full grown. They are fairly mellow, and at best will scavage any dead fish that are already dead. Doesn't seem to be much harm in them killing fish.

So the crew that I have will be staying in their own 10 gallon in hopes of seeing some breeding, and rearing of the larvae.

Shrimpzillia they are not. But still cool. :D

i went to a lps the other day and they had these foot long salt water feeder shrimp! they were the scariest things ive seen, i htought abotu seeing if they had smaller one for my mantis but i thought about what one would do if they fought, these thing were ginormous!!!
