Would it help if I were to put water in the tank from my ten or twenty gallon tanks? Would it be a sign of "good for plants" water if a tank is completely overrun with algae to the point where you can barely see a fish? Algae is basically a very tiny plant so I would think that'd be a good sign. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

M'kay thanks. Once I get it set up and running, I'm going to try to get Bio Spira and then some "feeder" guppies from Birds Galore. The owner really doesn't like it when I get feeders instead of a pair of fancies. LOL I just think it's a waste of money. Especially if something goes wrong and that four dollars worth of selective breeding dies.
