You think you have this nice little aquatic world where the worst thing in it is a few snails and some slimey algea and then you find monsters!

My bf would not allow me to have more tanks if he ever saw one of those in my tank! I am trying to convince him we need a 55G now

My suggestion is to put a fly strip above each of your tanks so this doesn't happen again!

That bug is just plain cool.

Some people say its good luck to have a dragonfly land on your fishing rod. Hmmmmm wonder if this means you will have good luck in your tanks?!

I Threw him in a local pond, Didnt have the heart to just kill him

If you have an outdoor pond I would put it there as it will it mosquito larve etc. As an added bounus, the adult dragon fly will eat other flying insects.

No big squash? C'mon! At least do a little pyrotechnics and blow him to bits with a few M-800's! If it was harmless, that might be different but since the guy is a homicidal fish eater, I'd give him a good splatterin.

Either that or stick him in a 10 gallon and feed him feederfish and snails. That would be pretty cool. How many people have a dragonfly tank!

Not many...just think how good it is that you found this now, instead of flying around the house. Or worse, after it had bitten your wife. Those guys can rip out an amazing amount of flesh, their jaws are very strong.

Dragon Fly nymphs are very aggressive. They would go after any fry in your tank.

it is only about 1 inch

not to mention they will bite you, we have them at the farm, they can give quite a pinch for such a small little thing

if you dont have any fish that the nymph can kill, i would consider keeping it, just out of curiousity. how long until it would turn into a dragonfly?
