Went to orientation today and got my schedule for next year... it was the scariest thing I've done all summer!

I've got AP Biology, French 2, AP Language and Composition, American History Honors, Calculus, and then a precious Study Hall. x-X;

I know there are high schoolers around ;), anyone know what classes they have? :p Now I also know not all schools are crazy like Florida and go back in the middle of August, so if you don't know your schedule, how about what classes you're planning on taking?

I am taking Modern Political Theory, Early Political Thought, Constitutional Issues in America, Business Information System Concepts, and The Rise of Islam. Hoooray for being one and a half semesters away from graduation and then hopefully off to law school.

I dont remember much of 8th grade, or most of the grades for that matter. Strange times ;)

I took french, became very fluent in it, still remember alot, though I blew off the class my sophomore year so had to retake it for a half year my junior year (passed the NYS regence exam with an 81, but failed class) Advice- do the work and get the hell outta there haha.

My last year of high school, taking "math b" again because I failed it (higher level math, hard to explain), physics, history, band, gym blah blah. My whole school career can be summed up as: not doing any work, no studying but aceing tests and exams, doing ok overall.

Gonna be a bio or enviornmental science major.

Wow, some of the classes you guys mentioned have some pretty fancy names! :p

I'm not looking forward to French; it's just about the only part of my schedule I'm REALLY dreading. I'm very bad at languages other than English. xD

Hmm...well since classes start in two weeks, guess I'd better get off my rear and go get my books! Just for the record, if you are in college, FORGET going through the bookstore for your books, go to amazon.com or half.com, and you can get a MUCH better deal on your books, not to mention that you can probably sell them back to the bookstore for probably more than you paid for it.

As for my classes, I'm taking the second Biology for Science Majors, with the lab, a Chemistry for Science majors, another psychology, communication fundamentals, and medical terminology for health care professionals.

definitely hear you on that one...books are SO expensive! Every sememster when the book lists come out i go comparison shopping on about 5 different websites...still costs me an arm and a leg though

I started school Aug. 3rd. It sucked. I am a sophomore in high school, and my classes are: Drafting/Illustration, Chemistry I, Analysis of Functions (Pre-calc), and English II. I am sooo glad I got my foreign language out of the way freshman year. Next year I'll take my AP Calculus and either AP Chemistry or AP Biology.

...the funny thing is, I actually enjoy school. :rolleyes:

Have fun with Pre-Calc! I'm usually very good at math, and Pre-Calc killed me! ;) I'm sure you'll do fine though ^^ I've always heard it's good to take Calculus, then AP Calc. But then, my school is too small to offer AP Calc BC, so even if I took AP Calc this year, there'd be nothing for me to do senior year! :eek:

I'll be happy having my foreign language out the way, I hate them so much. English is my favorite class though, so at least I have a strength in one language! :p
