Hey there,

Id like to get a small tigerfish to go with my clown loaches and yoyo loaches.

Im aware that the tiger may eat them as it get big enough to do so but thats not the main concern,the main concern is will the tiger pick on the loaches? like beat them up or anything?
I know not many fish messes with loaches,so I though it should be alrite?

Also,do they eat live plants?

Thanks =)

Congratulation on your new Datnioid. Excellent choice!!!
It's hard to say, each tiger has its own personality. Most of the time they only pick on their own kind. The only time they will pick on other types of fish is if they think its food.
As long as the loach is half the size of the tiger then it's fine. What type of loach are you refering to?
Check-out my gallery of Indo Tigers.
I been trying to get Siamese Tigers here in NYC, but very rare in the USA.
Most LFS carry the sliver and black type.

No, they do not eat plants.
They are straight carnivore and are graceful hunters. Mines like feeder fish, shrimp and earthworms. I heard that someone got them eating flakes, which I find hard to believe but why?
They can swallow a minnow half its size.
