be care ful with the snail killers, they might be a little harmful to your fish.

i know you don't want snails kRaZeD, but as long as you keep the population in check, they can really help out your tank. the'll clean up waste and pour nutrients into the substrate (which will be good for your plants). You might want to think twice about any overhaul or snail remover, it could get pretty ugly.

happy to help :)

hey i just heard a good idea, add salt to the tank because snails will hate it. a few of my fish have disease that i'm trying to cure and it's possibly from the snails carrying it, so i'm going to try a high concentration of 1tablespoon per 1 gallon of water, i'll let you know what the results are on the few snails i have seen around.

Luca :)

snails....snails....snails......

I work at a national pet store chain, and we use large gold fish, which eat all of them very quickly, than you could just sell it back to the store... Or buy a product called had-a-snail, seems to work ok.

great news kRaZeD & dana307, what sorta fish have u got the clown loaches in with (or what do they go with)?

catfishmike: snails are fine if they don't eat the plants. however in my 70G, my tetras breed, and as snails are scavengers, i'm sure they will eat the eggs.

oh yeah and i just learned 1 tblspoon to 1gal is too much salt, i'll do a 1tblspoon to 5gal instead.

talk to y'all soon,
Luca.
