Im sorry! I didnt mean to come across that way! I apologize. Im just trying to sort out all the facts and like I mentioned have not been able to find any info about this Facultative bacteria, only the other bacteria that I mentioned earlier. Thanks for the links.

Like I mentioned also before, I was always under the impression that there are bacteria that can adapt to both aerobic and anaerobic conditions however could not find good supportive literature. That is until you posted some. I will study them now.

I can't believe no one told lilfishy! When your about to fill up with more water due to the water lost by evaporation, you're suppose to change some of the water out too. Imagine you putting hard water inna bowl and then it evaporates, whats left inside in your bowl? Same with the fish tank. You could be making a mineral soup without knowing it.
