how far are you moving?

if its possible you would be better off leaving the lids off for gas exchange if it is more than an hour or so. should be easy enough...move the tank last and set it up first...know where it is going to go before you make the move

Big coolers and styros work well.

ok, yea the move itself is gonna be less than 30 minutes, I was going to move the snails and star fish as well as the cucumber in a 5 gallon bucket with just sand and water, they will be the last thing to move and one of the first to get set up, do you think water temp will drop enough so that I will need to indiviually bag them and put them in a cooler?

probably not...just keep them in the warmth as much as possible...in the car or in the house...have a heater or three ready to plug in into the buckets after they go form one house to the other
