Hehe, I'll look forward to it. I hope your mom's doing okay! :)

Just a quick report on Triton's antics...
It would seem that he does in fact recognize me specifically as his owner. My wife approached him to take a closer look the other night, and he totally backed away and instantly changed color! It was such an obviously-different reaction than what he does with me (which is approach the glass and quickly swim back & forth, mouth opening and closing, begging for food). With my wife peering in at him, he basically he got greenish/yellow stripes on his forehead and the coloring between his darker patches turned a paler orange/yellow, like in the following pics:

When I read about people claiming that their oscars recognized them and behaved differently around other people, I had a difficult time believing it. Well, now I know it's true! :D

Of course he knows you! Sheesh!

Callyx recognizes me when I walk into the front of the office and he hears my voice. He is splashing the top of the tank before I can get in to feed him. While, when he hears my uncle come into the office he goes and hides. Silly creatures.

If there are too many strangers around, Drae turns very pale too. He was almost white on July 4...LOL... Poor guy! SO many ppl wanted to feed him a mealie or just watch him. He was the center of attention and hid in the corner closest to where I was standing.
