Taming a betta to be compatible with other fish?

Cool, I love all the beautiful varieties of colors on all the different breeds of fish. I think that the saltwater fish are the most colorful...

My 8 'teen' fish are gold at the head, gold/black/silver mix in the body, and black at the tail. A couple even have translucent tails!! The new babies are almost all black, some have gold bellies! :p

Oh, and one baby died, now back to 9. My mom said that she counted 11, though...

I finally got a reasonable picture of one of my bettas. He is the copper colored one. Looks like I still have to work on focus a bit, but you get an idea of the color.

The tank isn't as cluttered as it looks - its a 5g hexagon and it has background stuck on the outside of the back three panels and then there is an upright fake piece of drift wood inside. Also the water level is down a bit, but the picture was snapped on the spur of the moment.
