here i'll try in like 20 minutes, for some reason him and the jewel seem very scared in the new tank, i don't blame them though maybe i shouldn't have gotten them because the second i put him in, my Kenyi cichlid went up and bit off one of his scales

I'm 100% positive on my ID. Tretocephalus have skinny bodies compared to Fronts, this one is much bigger. See how broad his fish's body is? Front most definently. You also hardly ever see that stripe on Tretocephalus eye going past the eye. In the spot past the eye on Trets, they usually have a band of irridescent color, most likely a blue color....something a lot of Lamprologines show.

Might i ask how big he is and how much he cost you?

Yep. Thanks for the pics. And Sorry Cichlid-Man you are right. There are six bands not five. And the front of the face is different. I was wrong and that is a Frontosa. It is going to be a BIG fish. Good Luck with him!!

Yup that's a front if there ever was one. Purrdy little fella too.

Read up on them so you'll know what to expect. They are piscivores, meaning they eat other fish. This requires a high protien diet, something that the mbuna in your tank will not be able to tolorate. You'll need to get him out of that tank before too long.
