Say, did you select lighting according to tank inhabitants?
As an example, it seems like Vixen's tank lighting has a more bluish hue when compared with Talon's tank, which has more of a natural daylight/white hue. Was that done on purpose? Either way, it does seem to play to the strengths of the various fishes' coloration.

Sorry about Karma.

Lighting is pretty much the same in every tank. They are all AquaGlo bulbs (by Hagen I believe). And yes, they do have the blue hue to them, brings out the fish colours the best. But it looks different on different tanks because they don't necessarily have the same sized bulbs (in relation to the tank size). Like, Vixen's tank has a 4ft. bulb that stretches right across the tank, whereas Talon has only a 2ft. bulb that sits in the middle.

Thanks.

Have you ever thought of building a GIANT tank, once you move to your new house? That way you could possibly put most of your fish together. [ this idea was sparked after reading the thread Rant....... and seeing a guy build a 50,000gal tank.]

That's what everyone says, but it's not. Well, it's not what I define as a lot of work, anyway. I do my water changes weekly, sometimes a little more often if I deem it necessary. Takes about 1.5 hours to do the basement tanks (the monster tanks), and about an hour or so to do the rest of the ones upstairs. I give the glass a wipe with a sponge every couple weeks or whenever it starts to look a little dirty, and voila.

Thanks. I actually love it as well. I think it's one of the few African setups I've kept for more than a couple months before tearing it down and starting again. I've always loved brichardi, and when the pair had their first batch of fry, I couldn't part with them. I figured, screw it, let them form a big colony like they do in the wild, lol.
