hey what a great step-by-step guide to setup a reef tank! I know what I'm going to do this weekend. ;)

That is a great post. lol Such time and dedication to make sure it was as insane as possible. Wonderful work.

Well, I wrote that as I was setting up my first reef, a 100 gallon.
A couple years later, the front glass fell away and the tank was ruined.
I saved all the livestock (I was in the room at the time!) and had to sell it all off. I've been out of the hobby since, but occasionally acquired a tank when I saw one I wanted. Finally, this year have started working on a new system. It'll be a 125 in-wall, with a small fishie room behind it. It'll have a 75g refugium w/DSB, and 2 40BR frag tanks, all plumbed to a common custom 74g sump.
I'm still working on overflows, plumbing and need a big protein skimmer (for 300 gallons+), and lights.
I'm supposed to host a club meeting in Feb demonstrating aquascaping, so I have to have my setup running, and rock cured before then. Busy busy.
Now if only I hadn't run out of money! :)
