Of course, most of my posts went on Fishman's many many threads and since I'm now not posting advise to deaf ears (or blind eyes) I haven't had to post much. I'll probably be back with a vengeance when it livens up

Reminds me of myself way back when:

That was a long time ago. Immature me haha... now it embarasses me to think I even *bothered* posting that
Haha, we were all like that once. Just most, like you and I, tend to grow out of it!
Anyway a quick update.. Well not so much an update, there's nothing to update on. Right at the start I said I planned to have my first fish in by now, needless to say that hasn't happened. I still have no heater, thermometer, substrate etc etc, and the tank is STILL sat empty on the dresser. It's quite depressing to look at really!
Of course I have lots to think about here and it mainly revolves around the money issue, I've been a tad frivolous of late so there hasn't been any money spare to set up. However, Christmas is fast approaching and I turn 20 in mid January, I see this as the perfect opportunity to get supplies/money for supplies. That way I can get it set up even if it's just planted for a while.
I will then leave it just planted or with some cheap, "disposable" (i.e, common and easy to return to my LFS) fish, maybe some form of small tetra or WCMMs perhaps. Then when I move house again next september (our house just isn't up to scratch and we hate our landlord.. though I love my room!) it's easier to dismantle if there's not space for it in the new house (though space for a tank will be high on my agenda when looking for a new house). This also gives me a chance to save up for the fish which I reckon, as I'll be having them delivered to my door, will be the most expensive part.
So the plan is still the same, it's just being delayed somewhat!
