Hey all. I only have 3 RCS, and I'm pretty sure that all are female. I'm thinking about getting a 5g or 10g RCS tank since I already have all of the equipment, just not the plants or enough RCS. I was wondering if anyone who has an access amount of RCS would be willing to sell and ship them to me. I was thinking about getting 5-10 to start out so I don't overload the bio-load, even though shrimp's are small. PM me to figure out something please. :)

Lol it'll work. Just make sure you use a brine shrimp net so they don't get injured. My RCS are less then an inch, so right now I have them in a breeder net with java moss. They seem to be doing good, but my fish look at them through the net and I swear, I can see it in their eyes, that they;re planning something. XD

Thanks guys!! I'll look. I just don't know what to do since I don't have a pay pal account and my dad is weird about letting me use his. I don't want to get one and pay every month to keep it up and running. Yes I'm cheap like that and regularly go broke, lol. Any advice??

Hello; A question on this, what sort of security is associated with this kind of thing? I am not comfortable having financial information on the internet. Many places do not allow me to pay with a check and I mhave had to find another way. My local bank sells visa debit cards that I have been able to use at online stores. I got one this week to place an order. I put the amount needed on a card and give the card #'s when ordering. There is no link to any of my accounts. The card cannot be reloaded and costs just under $4.00. It is a small bother, but seems more secure.

What is the point of using PayPal if you just attach it to your bank account (which Kiara may not have)? I have never used it, but my kids all have used PayPal for years without a problem. My point was when I was going to use it, I had to give them my credit card number for the amount and so I may as well just use my credit card - which I have been doing for years without a problem.

paypal is a good way to send money online. it is safe and secure and i havnt heard of hacking issues, its the equivilant of a credit card i would assume.
Paypal is free.
Since it does cost money to have a credit card machine, and visa, discover, mc, ect charge you for having a credit card scanner and using their system. kinda confusing and stupid. but a company pays visa to be able to charge visa cards on their machines. hence why some stores only take certain credit cards...this said, paypal is good for people who dont have an actual business. who dont want to file taxes on the fish they sold. so they use paypal.

so actually...paypals a really cool system and makes it easy for individuals to use :) better than cashier checks in the mail anyways

Still, what no one has been able to explain is PayPal has to make money just like the credit cards do so how do they do that?? With credit cards you have someone to come back to if you disagree with a charge, how does PayPal handle that??

i have it connected to one of my pre-paid debit cards, makes it safer for online stuff. if online is safe at all :)

I would recommend maybe emailing customer service with your questions and they could give you an answer...prob a what you wanna hear answer, but itll be a start. i dont have enough experiance with them and ive seen very little people ranting about paypal.

paypal may have charges some places...you know how like CL is all free cept they may charge in the renting section...maybe. or its a completely free site-cant imagine that, but just like google makes money off clients i am sure paypal has a way too

PayPal IS very safe and very secure!! They have the best security track record out there. They are good for business's as well, My corporation, American Hot Rod Solutions INC. owns three other companies, Torque Converter Shop, Manual Transmission Kits, and Built Right Transmissions. I tried the credit card machines for years but now I only allow PayPal to process all of our transactions. People have the choice of using the PayPal side of it or using their card which is processed by PayPal as well. Since then my rate of fraud based card mis-use has gone to zero!! As far as taxes and PayPal go or any company like this, you do not get nailed for taxes until you reach $10,000 dollars worth of sales through PayPal. This is all due to the Health care bill that passed a couple years ago. Its funny how a health care bill has more tax code crap in it then health care stuff!!! Before the health care bill PayPal was not obligated to 1090 any of its customers at all.

ah thanks for that explanation...i do beleive if i get this business started we will be going paypal route or cash, using credit cards isnt worth the trouble if your making less than 100k it seems

Oh noooes!!! My thread got high-jacked lol. I have a bank acount and it has a whopping $4 on it!! XD It's under my dad's name, sorta, so I can't deposit or withdraw money without him being there. Will I be able to link my bank account to a paypal account?? So much information and oppinions on PayPal, lol.

Hello; Here is some more negative thinking. Some one correct if my assumptions are wrong. When linked to a bank account it seems possible to me that some bad things can happen.
For example, if a charge is made that exceeds the funds in the account it seems that the bank may be able to charge some hefty fees. Overdraft or some such fees. The banks are trying to find ways to add or increase fees of late. There was a widely reported story about new debit card fees on the news in the last week or so. Public outcry helped to quell that for the moment.
Being linked to an account with a debit card has some additional risk over other forms of charge card. If some mistake or fraud takes place the funds in a n account are less protected than with a credit card. Reports of loss when using a debit card linked to a bank account are out there. With a credit card an mistake or loss can be disputed and the loss reversed. With a debit card the money is taken directly from an account and it is my understanding that this is sometimes much harder to fix, if at all.
I may be overly cautious, but will not use a credit card online. One additional advantage to the prepaid debit card I described in an earlier post is that you have to have the total funds + $4.00 up front. No late fees or bills (debt) to come later. You only spend what you have.

You may get your thread back someday. Not today it seems. How is the 16 thing going? Are you driving yet?

This has all been very educational, but I still am a little confused. In order to get money into PayPal I have to use my credit card (or I suppose I could send them a check), but if I use my credit card, is it just for a certain amount of money - like say $200 and when that is used up I send them more? or do they just connect the PayPal account to my credit card? That would be the part I wouldn't like. BTW, Kiara, why don't you open a checking account in your name? You probably need more than $4, but now days it has been possible to find free checking banks or credit unions. Seems like all my kids had banking accounts by the time they were 16 and didn't need a co-signer, just a beneficiary as I remember.

Well skjl, I haven't gotten a permit yet, but my parents let me drive their cars. It's fun and I'm doing pretty good, it's just the cost if driving school that's the trouble. I'm trying to look more into pay pal, but all the information on here is really helpful. Tell me more about this prepaid debit card that you have. It sounds very interesting and I was thinking about trying that instead of the pay pal, just to be safe.

Hello; I went to my local bank where I have an account. It is called a deluxecard visa gift card. It is not reloadable, so whatever amount is put on it at first is all you can spend. I have to keep track of the balance, but there is a toll free number I can call to check the balance. So far I have used two cards. On the first one I more than needed for a planed purchase and have used it an additional two times and have $5.93 left on it. The second card was loaded with the exact amount of a planned purchase and is now empty. I was just looking at the written stuff that came with the cards and will call the number soon to get more information. I will post more about it.
