Hello; Just called the delux card number and checked. Once the card value is zero that is the end of the process, there is no additional chance of charges or fees. You do have to keep track and not try to pay for more than the card has on it. An example in the literature is that restaurants may add a tip to the bill automatically. you also have to check first to see if you can do a split transaction where some of the bill is on the card and the rest is paid some other way.

If I were to put a lot of extra money on a card, say for a long trip, and it was lost or stolen then I have to notify them right away in order to not lose any money. I can lose $50.00 if i wait too long after discovering it is gone. I guess to most you can ever lose is what happens to be on the card, so it is a bit more secure than lost cash.

In my case it is a matter of not being comfortable with online financial transactions. A friend had several hundred dollars charged to a credit card from a resort island a while back. He had never been there. He got it straight, so all was well in the end. The paypal method may be very safe, I do not know enough about it to say.

Good luck with the growing up stuff. You have some milestones ahead. Drivers ED was not around when I learned. I did not know that it cost a student extra. Can you take the written exam and get a permit anyway?

its been a few years since i was a minor, so i dont know the policies regarding age and debit cards and bank accounts. you should be able to ask your bank for a debit card though

I'm tired and I'm listening to Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. Haha. I love this song. :3 um, I'll look into the card. Thank you guys so much for all of the information and if you get anymore our just feel like talking about it, feel free to post here!! I'll check every day. I always do with this website.

When linking your account to paypal its only to up money into your PayPal for spending or to take money from something you sold on the internet using PayPal to collect then, you can put it into you regular bank account if you wish. You can only directly link a credit card to PayPal if you wanted to, the bank account funds are not directly linked to PayPal, you have to electronically transfer funds to PayPal to be used. Since I have all of my business's now running PayPal to process card for just about 6 years I have not had ANY credit card fraud unlike when I had a card machine company handling my transactions.
Most people are also unaware that online purchases are usually safer then swiping your card at a brick and mortar company. If a hacker wants card numbers he is not going to set there waiting for some random IP address to have a transaction when he can just get his fill by hacking Walmart or some other big box place.
Also be very leery of a business that uses wire internet connected to the cash register computers as you info is broadcast in to the air!!!!!!!!!

One thing I wanted to add is a credit card is much safer to use than a debit card because you have some recourse should things go wrong. With a debit card you are the only one monitoring it and it draws the money directly out of your account.

Hello; I believe you on this. This is why I have stopped using a CC at retail stores for the most part. At Walmart and lowes I buy one of their cift cards with cash. This makes it handy when going thru the self serve checkouts and at the murphy's for gas. No safety if lost, but little other risk.
I also believe you about the security of paypal, but do so few online transaction that the prepaid debit card does ok for now. With fewer businesses taking a check, this has become my choice for now. I find the processes of using a computer daunting at times. I find myself making mistakes when navigating websites. Sometimes a window opens up on which I must make a choice, often having no clue as to what the proper choice should be. But the screen is locked untill the choice is made. I guess we are susposed to somehow know about these things.

Red cherry shrimp. There, the thread is back on track. If i had some, I would send them to you. I have not noticed them in stores as yet, but only get to a decent fish store every few months.

I use my PayPal just as a gift card, I just load it up with money from my bank account. On nice thing about the PayPal card is that it has to have a pin # put in, it cannot be ran as credit with just a signature!!!
You know, I have never had Fresh water shrimp before. I have had a couple crawfish in the past though. I have a bunch of saltwater shrimp.

If your debit card has the logo of a credit card (Visa or Mastercard for example), you have the same protection as a true 'credit' card.
