LOL you guys crack me up. I decided to add another picture - that might help;)

I had to build a fireplace for my wife in exchange for the fishtank - isn't it cute? kid is cute too.

Some people just do not understand good forum culture.

Iggy thanks for the tip - I will save my nitrite testing kit for when I need it.

Randy,

Oops pic is kind of crapy.

I was unsure about the whole plastic ship thing but once again my wife has some strange fascination with that good lookin actor guy that plays captain sparow in pirates of the caribean. Anyway the ship is the black pearl and cost more than the fish tank:rolleyes:

Iggy - I bought the glass for $80:eek: Let me know if you need any, I will hook you up.;)

VERY COOL,
I hope you plan on adding some plants and maybe some schooling fish, they'll look awesome with your sunken ship.

That will make you live longer.....watching fish is soooo releaxing,
a real de-stress home addition.

I actually got a chance to visit his house and it was a real pleasure. Instant did a really good job setting it up, between his kitchen and living room hallway area.

Even though its only 6" wide, there are lots of varieties of fish that never get any bigger than 4" he could use, and almost any plants also.

Now my wife catches me eyeballing walls in our house thinking.... hmmm... maybe I could....

NICE love it! i've always wanted a wall tank i think they are the coolest sort of tank you can have! although i did see this coffee table one once, bit impractical as a coffee table but looked good.

slight change of subject here, iggy i don't suppose you can give me any idea about calgary fish stores? i've tried all the big name places, i've tried big al's although the salesperson has tried to con me once or twice on some plants! and i've tried riverfront, which is surprisingly on riverfront ave! but what i want to know and maybe instant can answer this aswell, next time i'm up in edmonton is it worth me checking out the fish stores?

I really like the ship and the plants you've got in there and congratulations on doing such a brilliant tank.

Absolutely AWESOME! As a former professional carpenter and still weekend warrior you can imagine how many walls I've looked at and thought.... gimme an hour and a saw-zall! I think there's a wall and a 125 with my name on 'em!

The one thing I'm feeling stoopid on is the cycling. I've been in this hobby for about 10 years now and the first tank I bought was a 20 gallon. I left the store with tank, substrate, filter, heater, plastic plants and FISH!
The only water I had was in the bags!

In the whole process I lost one zebra danio... cause he jumped out.

Since then I've had 55, 29 high, 125, 70 gallon fresh and converted that original 20 into salt. (Lasted around a year and crashed... lost everything)

By all means, I'm not knocking "the cycle". Just never knew it was for fresh water as well as salt. Appreciate the tips and conversations.

Great forum all. I look forward to hopefully adding some knowledge... if not only humor.

PEACE

DUDE....YOU are my HERO! That is the absolute coolest. And I know a lot of people don't like fake decorations...but I gotta say...the Ship is awesome. I for one LOVE fake decorations...especially ones that use air pumps...You should see if you can find a little air pump pirate!

Also, I'm dedicating the rest of my adult life to build a tank like that.
