yeah the shrimp and the perc fight all the time, no damage as of yet though :)
hair algae is a pain in the butt, my hermits are lazy and dont eat it! ah well, any suggestions for something that WILL eat it?

Oh, you should of seen the cyano before, all my rocks were COMPLETELY red. Like literally at least 85% of the rocks were red. Increased flow, and water changes really DO help with cyano!
I think the hair algae makes the tank kinda look like the hills on the Lord of the Rings...where the hobbits live lol

yeah, thats alot of algae. the tank wouldnt look bad without it though ;)

the best way, as the others put it (and as you may know), is to manually pull out as much as you can, then get more hermits and snails to keep what remains in check. also wherever you are getting your water may have alot of excess nutrients, I cant remember what you use.

i use RO...or so the store says...
Im going to vancouver for 4-5 days, so the light will be off...think that'll do something to the HA?
With the lights off for 4-5 days your hair algae and cyano will disappear but remember once you come back do a 50% water change.. There is a very long thread on reefcentral.com about this. Although they leave the lights off only for 3 days max. Once you come back do the 50% water change and you should be fine..
