Cyano can servive without light, seen it happen in my own tanks and other peoples tank, when you do a water change suck up as much as you can. Keep doing water changes, remove the HA yourself, and some macro algae would help out compete.

Wow, that's a lot of hair algae.

Have you tested your nitrates and phosphates lately? Is it possible you're feeding too much?

yeah it really IS alot of HA. ah well
i dont have a test for phosphates, but I could test for nitrates i think

lol yeah, she was in a pair at the LFS. she wasnt attacking my finger, she thought it was food haha

I still cant believe how big she is. And i guess the shrimp is kinda cool looking, ive just never liked them.

Haha yeah, she looks ALOT bigger in pictures then she does in real life. I love my shrimp, his eyes are SO cool when you look at them up close

anyways got rid of the algae problem yet? microalgae helps.

HUGE UPDATE
I GOT CORAL!!!!!!
Ok so ignore my excitement, but I FINALLY found a nice LFS about an hours drive from my house that has SOO many corals for sale!!
I dont have any pics quite yet because they are still closed...but I got...
A HUGE hunk of GSP, about 6 purple hairy mushrooms (I think they are hairy at least...) and a brain coral! I probably over spent on the corals, but in reality...I cant get them here anyway, so when I see them...I gotta get them!!
I should have pics of the open corals tomorow

Oh I know I gotta do something about that algae...I've been doing my water changes etc. I gotta get some chaeto I think
Also I think there is something in the water that Im putting into the tank...not sure
