Every Ones Favorite Cichlid?

Gotta go Discus. Not your typical cichlid. But thats why I like em. I've got some kribs in the growing stage right now, hope to breed them eventually. Perhaps I'll get some rams. Too bad all my tanks are overstocked!

Not that I have had many kinds, but my convicts are my favs. It only took them 2 feedings of bloodworms to learn that fingers in the tank = food. My mom's friend's kid wont put her hands anywhere near the tank after I showed her how cool it was to have them eat from your fingers. *evil grin*

I wish could afford a big enuf tank for big fish, at the moment i only have 2 keyhole cichlids + if the fish get too big I don'thave anyone to give/sell them to and since they cost alot I'm not just going to give it to a store for crappy credit!

My Favs would be N. Leleupi and the N. Tret and Altolamprologus Calvus. All of them are strikingly beautiful and a joy to keep.

You are in luck those little keyholes "USUALLY" do not get any bigger than 4-6 inches with the males getting the largest!

Don't too much--just new at this but my oscar is beautiful. Sure is a fiesty sucker. As for Jack Dempsey's--the ones I have been around are pretty, but very picky...they won't eat at all if the light is on
