oh and please tell me if it skims when the water level is very high, near the top ( if you fill it to the max ) ...my seaclone "decided" not to work for 2 straight days because the level was too high. Since my sump isn't working, i can't put in in a place where the level is always the same.

not sure what you mean by water level? are you talking in the skimmer or in the tank? I can take pics of mine doing all that it does and a let you know what you want

I have never had that problem but I also have the suface skimmer, it is like an extra 30 bucks and i would say worth it simply because it works great, prevents bubbles from coming back into the tank and also provides a place to put carbon or other filter media
