with cons, do you think i'll be able to get away with ONLY having the 10 gallon set up for them? i'm happy to sell babies to my lfs when they get big enough, but will it be a problem that i don't have anything else set up for them? hmm..

as for the tank, we're looking at used tanks - mainly on craigslist. i found a great deal on a 55 gallon, $100 for tank, stand, hood, lights, filter, plus i think some extras... i'd love it if i came across a local 75 gallon for a good deal, but if not, the 55 will suffice for now, and i'll talk my family into something bigger later on down the road. ;)

I honestly think a 55gal is good for an oscar for life...But thats just my oppinion. Some people have different ways of fish keeping I guess ;) , there is no right way, or a wrong way... (usually ;) )
