Strait is right. Not to mention the body is too slender to be a female of that size. Normally by 2 inches there is a noticeable roundness to the mid section of a female.

Nice fish anyhow, way to go!

Not up the nose like that. They are very short and only on the edge of the nose.

This is a red spot L110 female, Different BN but the same male/female bristle rule still applies.

Thanks Pure. I am going to keep my eye out for a female at my LFS. If they dont get any (I have only seen Males now that I know the difference.) Where can I get one online?? Also what is their L--- name?? I cant find it there seem to be quite a few different types.

Most plecs are nocturnal and nature. Chances are he is picking the heater option cause he ain't got nuttin else to hide in. Not the best of places for him to hang out it does get HOT. Ya really need to get him a nice cave.

I think you're right on L128. But it's hard to get any decent shots of him.

I got my wild L205's and they're great. Sorta. Still need some pics of them. One of them chewed half the pectorals off my original L205 :( . I couldn't figure whether I should get 2F:1M or all females. I guess I know what I should have gotten now huh? They have some really nice color though. *sigh* I just can't catch a break sometimes. lol
