How many Pseudotropheus demasoni do you have? Thought about getting a colony myself.

Metriaclima sp. zebra 'chilumba' is one of my favorites, hard to find around here though.
I've got a little over two dozen demasoni in that tank, plus about 7 more growing out in a separate tank. Nearly the entire colony was born in my tanks (I don't think I could afford purchasing this many at the prices they're going for in my area).

The BB zebra is one of my favorites as well. I've got four in my main mbuna tank and close to 20 growing out. I plan on having a tank containing just these zebras.

They are open spawners. What that means is they will spaawn anywhere in the open, and not in caves, etc. They spawn in pits they dig, on flat rock surfaces, and leaves of crypts, swords, anubias, etc. Once they start spawning, they usually don't change habits. I have another pair laying eggs right now. I had moved a granite rock to their old spawning site, now they moved to another location and dug another pit, lol. Can't get them to spawn on the granite, lol. It's all in the fishes minds I guess, lol......
