You know, now that you mention it, they were labeled as Wild P.Scalare Altum angels. I didn't realize that P.Scalare & altums are two different things, I just assumed it was an altum. But I thought his bars were too thin to be an altum. Here's another pic, he's not very photogenic.

Yeah P. Scalar is a different species than P. Altum. They are often mismarked like that, and sold as Altums. The angels you buy at a LFS are P. Scalars, I do heavily favor the wilds tho.

True Altums, if not heavily medicated as soon as they arrive state side rarely make if very long. The only people I know who have been able to keep them alive long imported them themselves.

Thanks for posting pictures of the Angels, everyone.

I never really saw the allure myself, but looking at your photos I see that Angels aren't a cookie cutter type fish (as I previously thought). What a striking array of colors and finnage.

Your welcome for the pics! You all can expect some new pics from me in about a week and a half, as i am getting another angel pair, either blue blushers, koi,or black veils:D:D:D
