well eric may not be the best idea but I would stick them in there together and see what happens. But he probably wont ship until tomorrow so that gives you 2 days to get a new tank started...lol

I know i am going to get yelled at here but I set up my 10g quarantine tank up with some decorations from my 30g and used filter media , top fin bacteria supplement and had fish in it in less than an hour. This was over 2 months ago and the tank never shown any ammonia or nitrites readings. Currently housing those same fish and a couple new additions.

Well, I thought I'd offer. LOL

Brian, I've done the same.....set up a tank, little bit of gravel or whatnot in there. Let the temp settle and in go the fish, no problems.

Ooooo. I'm bad. Never cycled my 20g properly (didn't know what it was then.) Oh yeah, bought a 5g and threw in the swordtail fry the same day. I tried cycling the new 6.6g, but I needed the space. Seems to be ok now with the..what...33 fry in there?

Well I will put them in my other tank for the time being and hope everyone gets along. I don't want to go out and buy everything for a new tank if they aren't alive yet and if they seem to get along with the other fish in my tank then I might just leave them in there. It will be overstocked but I will be doing plenty of water changes.
