The three of us who have adults have not been able to match them up with any pictures.
We know they are not L45, as it comes from a country that has not exported fish since the early 90's, and there are no other L45's available in the US.

I will get some more and better pictures up in the next few days.

Nice Lda08 Jeff.

Dino can you get me some side profile shots and an aproxamate size? You say it comes from a place that hasn't exported in a long time....where? Answer these questions and I may be able to help you but I can't promise. I can say it is not an sp3 nor is it an LDA08.

i <3 visiting this thread... i adore my rubbernose although he's got nothing on some of your fancy plecs. and he's so shy i hardly see him :)

can someone post pics of common plecos i think i have one but hes camera shy..
trav, most likely you have a common pleco. *thumbsups if you google 'pleco' you'll find tons of pics, though i'm sure people around here could post some good ones too. depending on your tank size, you may want to think about trading him in for a rubbernose or another smaller variety, because commons get huuuge. (i saw one that had to have been 17-18" at the lfs the other... omg it was so ugly. :D)

Thanks, Jeff.
Right now he's all by his lonesome in the little 3 gal. Eclipse tank. I haven't seen him eating yet, but hopefully he's chowing down on something.

He is destined for the 55 gal. salvini tank.
I just hope he puts some size on him real quick so he doesn't get the snot kicked out of him.

Yep an L114, welcome to the club BV. To put some size on him fast feed him raw shrimp or use my shrimp mix recipe in my chronicles thread. Also in such a small tank you are going to need to do 2-3 WCs a week. Feeding high protien foods will mess with WQ. Personally I would go get at least a 10 gal for him to stretch out in.

If given the right foods and proper room...they are pretty fast growers. My first one has more than tripled in size since Jan.

Hey Pure, what kind of pleco is the third one on your first post? The brown one (L001). I have one just like that and have been trying to do research on him but don't know his real name. Mine is huge! He's about 7 inches long.
