Well in prep for my 54g corner reef, I converted my desk tank 6g to a nano.

So while I was shopping, I picked up the following:

Aragamax Sand - sugar grain

Red Sea Salt

Hydrometer

Powerhead - Aquaclear

Thermometer

5lbs of LR picking up more tomorrow

Here are some pics, we mixed the salt in a 5g bucket and used a blender to stir it up. Worked like a charm.

Sorry the camera doesnt hide much, still need to wipe down the outside of the tank. So far so good, my ammonia has jumped for no reason from .25 to 1.0ppm. The nitrates/ites are reading 0. The salinity is at 1.023.

My biggest problems are i dont know what to think of the aquascape, sometimes i like it sometimes i dont.... And the major one has been keepin my temp constant. It varies from 76-83...... :(

Too late.... I bought a pound of rock out of impulse, got home and it didnt look right at all, but after some hammer work i've made it look acceptable, not only that the new look is starting to grow on me. Unfortunately even after the rinse there is some rubble and lose particle on the bottom, whats the best way to get some of that out of the tank?
