That's a nice looking rain-gutter light you made there. Are you in any way worried about it heating up? The fluorescent light strip I used to have had a fan in it, and it was loud, so I switched to LEDs. Do all lights have noisy fans in them, or just some, and if I build one should I worry about it getting hot?
My T5s don't have noisy fans in them. *shrug*

I need a good name for my Bolivian Ram. I dunno if it's a he or she. They're a little harder to tell, but I "think" it's a boy. So "he" acts like a cross between a giant cory and a happy puppy. Any ideas?
Izzy..."izzy" a boy or "izzy" a girl? ROFL! Sorry, I suggested that name to my mom when she got her maltipoo because you seriously couldn't tell what gender she was. :p Anyway...do you have a pic of your ram? We could help you sex it.

Less sarcastic, more like scrappy-do.

The coloration and shape stuff with bolivians can be false positives from what I've read. But generally, I guess so. I totally suck at this ID thing. I'm happy when I can tell the difference between boy and girl livebearers.

Gidget?

Aak=you should add a reflector to the inside, even foil will work a little. It may also keep the heat down. I see there is no ground on your cord, I know the fixture is plastic, but you should think of adding one.

FreAsh=I have PM's you to get your name fixed and I have asked you to spell check and use punctuation. Please do.........Thanks!

From everything I've read, aluminum foil actually disperses light instead of reflects it, compared to simple white plastic. There's supposed to be reflective sheeting (mylar?) I can get at the local arts and crafts place (Michaels) or most hippy pothead shops.

The white side in a 2-wire setup is not ground? (I'm just happy nothing caught fire and exploded.)

LOL @ Hippie pothead shops!
You won't have a fire, you would get shocked! The ground is to protect you....Get a 3 wire extension cord and attach the green third wire to both sockets and you should be good!

So what wattage does that thing put out?

26Wx4=104 total watts.

Paige, you should do a row of them in the back and try to make them straighter. The concept is perfect though.
