Congrats on the babies!

I'm trying to decide if I want to put my 20gL on the desk in my room (where the 46gal is now) or if I want to repaint the stand the 29gal is on right now and put the 20gL on it instead. It's going in my room either way. I'm leaning more toward putting it on the stand because the 29gal seems a little tipsy on the stand.

You could anchor the stand to the wall if you're worried about it tipping over.

Which is a taller surface, the desk or the stand? Since the 20H and 29 both have the same footprint I'd put the 29 on the lower surface so it's easier to get into.

So, I had a dream last night that my pleco dug a hole all the way down through the bottom my tank and into my floor, which for some reason was also made of sand. Crazy.

What a fantastical dream! Maybe your floor was made of sand because you are in a fish tank as well :0 I would probably have freaked out.

I had a bizarre dream once that my school of cardinals grew so big they were eating the other fish -- I think it's because I always call them timid fish.

I rarely if ever dream of fish. I normally dream of social interactions, which I usually try to avoid outside the internet.

I think I lost one of the two pearl gouramis I got for my danio babies. Twas almost over his/her ich, but just didn't seem to be eating. Maybe it's just hiding, since I couldn't find the body.
/hope

Any luck on finding the body of that fish? I've had that happen a few times and swore up and down that the fish was gone and had been eaten, then I would do a huge re-scape or tank transfer and there they would be, swimming around like nothing!

Did you know that feeding your SA/CA cichlids (like oscars) live is a bad plan because there is almost no nutrition in feeder fish, not only that but the feeders that are sold as feeders tend to carry parasites that will live in their digestive tracts and potentially kill them or stunt their growth.

Pacus are vegetarians...

A breeding group of Kaiser I tropheous just sold at my local fish auction for 350!!!! Yeah... for African cichlids... Tropheous are really neat but are also veggies and are prone to malowi bloat if you keep them in a rift lake tank so they are best kept species specific.

Did you know that Yellow Labs are super passive? Yeah they actually do quite well with larger tetras and such and do poorly when kept in a rift lake tank because they get the snot beat out of them and stress out big time...

Did you know Jewels are actually african cichlids but are river fish not lake fish and as such have more in common with their New world cousins then they do with their old world neighbors, they are egg layers, they have perly scales and the black spot on their body just like most SA/CA fish do.

Did you know that Zebra plecos are amazingly cute but will run you 150-200 a pop? and thats for pretty small 1-2" fish.. They are banned for import and as such are the only fancy pleco that is commonly found that is not generally wild caught.

Gold Nuggets have 3 L#'s and the larger spot ones are easier to keep because they take better to prepared foods. They wont breed in captivity until they get over 12" and that takes a ton of time... At 12" they have lost the pretty yellow fringe on their tails and their not nearly as nice to look at.

Umm thats what i got...
