I would say not to put anything in the tank that you are not 100% sure of. Its a PITA to get anything out. I remember those nights of trying to fish a damsel out without tearing the tank apart.
how did you snag him?

Well sorry, havent been on in awhile. The readings are all good and stable. The only thing i have to say, is that i have orangish/ light brown algae growing on my lr? I dont think its brown algae, however it could be. Anyone have any thoughts? Also, monday i was going to go get my 2 clowns should i instead get the rest of my cuc? I think the algae might have something to do with enough flow, 4 powerheads each at 170gph is that enough. thanks for all the comments!

seems like good flow. probably diatoms signaling the end of your cycle I would say do ur next scheduled water change. Grab some more CUC, wait a week and go ahead and add a fish. Let it be for a couple of weeks so your tank gets more used to the waste. Then add the clowns. Rods right?

O CRAP! My first mistake. I had this posted for 2 days, no one said anything so i got 2 Ocellaris Clownfish, they have been doing great. They have been in the tank for almost 24hrs now. Since i made this mistake i will be watching very closely and testing everyday still. Shift, will Onyx Clowns host an anemone? I still wont 2 of those as well, im in the process of shutting almost all my freshwater tanks down, high schools been hitting me hard this year. Im looking into get a 90+gal SW at the moment though. Even if Onyx Clowns dont i will still most likely be getting some. I'll post pics of the clowns later. For now can anyone think of any good names? I thought of Jonie & Chachie [spelling?]. Not sure if i like that though. O yea i just ordered my lights too, should be here in a few days. Its a current USA Satellite Dual power compact, 2 by 65 watt and lunar lights. $131, i found a nice website where there prices are very low, karola for $25.

I just found a hitch hiker. Im not 100% sure what exactly it is, but my lfs has. It is some type of starfish, i believe. It has very long arms/legs, is white, not very big yet, and IMO moves almost like a spider. Ill post pics of the clowns later tonite. I believe the starfish is the reason why i cannot locate one of my cerith snails! So its coming out as soon as i see it again.

These fish must be the hardest fish to take a picture of, they never stop moving!I couldnt really get any good pictures of my small clown cause all he does is float[very fast] back and forth from two powerheads, at leasts its funny to watch. Also, does anyone have any good ideas about a sandsifter type fish, like a goby? I've been looking at the Yellow Watchman Goby.

Thanks guys. Okay I have some questions about equipment. I plan on changing out my 4 big bulky powerheads[170gph each] and replacing it with 2 Hydor Koralia Nano Powerheads[240gph each], does that sound good? Also i have a question about protein skimmers, what type would you suggest for my type of set-up. Im also going with this light: Current USA Satellite Dual Compact Fluorescent, 2X65 Watt, 30 inch. It says its good for Reef Tanks with Soft Corals and LPS Corals.

Well i havent really added anything to the tank since the last time i was on, the only thing i can think of thats good is that im getting some nice green coraline algae! I have a concern though. Lately my little clown has been shaking and twisting, almost like mating signs for freshwater, and i didnt think anything about it. Now they are both doing it to eachother. Except today i noticed that the larger clown, on his first white stripe almost right above his is it seems as though its starting to turn almost orange[like the white is pealing away]? My water is very good, but just incase i started mixing some water right now and will do a water change tomorrow. Any comments about this?

I'm not sure what was wrong with your clown but I'm glad to hear its back to normal now.
