There was plenty of red on the rocks and more porous than I expected. I'll definitely get more from them. The rubble rock will work great for fragging!

Nah, it's already has a few coats of poly on it. I'm going for a natural wood grain look in my basement.

Latest update... I'm having heat issues so I hope these 3 fans will do the trick.

between the open back and clip on fan it keeps my temps within range.... did u have any fans hooked up when u realized u had a problem? open back?

No, I had to tear down an old server laying around the house! It's just taking up space anymore anyway.

I'm concerned because I only run my MH for about 2 hours a day right now. I'm trying to figure out what temp i'm going to be able to keep the tank. A stable temp anyway.

The back has always been open. There are a few other openings that are letting heat out.

Is that already salt creep on the fans?

That would just be a little dust... I didn't blow that one off good enough I guess.

Ah, just scares me to see salt creep around sockets or any cords. Hehe.

my tank is 78-82 depending on lights on or off

i'll be happy if i can hold my tank in that range.

The heat in the tank has held steadily at 79 so I'll have to see what happens when the lights are on longer.

I'm starting to see a diatom bloom so I guess that a good sign. Although, my nitrate and nitrite are off the charts. I'll have to do another water change tomorrow.

Yep, been done for a week or so. I'm waiting a month or so before adding corals though. I need to get ca, alk, and mg in check.
